Well known Cebuano businessman and one of the founders of the volunteer groups in the Visayas, the Bisaya Na Pud movement, Michael Dino was chosen by the incoming President Rodrigo Duterte as a Cabinet Member. He will be working with Philippine President as Presidential Assistant for Visayas.
In an announcement made during a meeting between Mayor Duterte and some of his Cabinet members the former Davao City Mayor announced that Michael Dino will be part of his cabinet. The announcement was made at around 8:00 PM on Monday at the Matina Enclaves in Davao City.
The businessman from Cebu City also confirmed his appointment by Pres. Duterte during an interview with Cebu Daily News and noted that he was caught unaware of the announcement. He was quoted as saying “He (Duterte) wants to make sure that there’s a Visayan voice in Malacañang,” he said in a phone interview.
Michael Dino said during the interview that once he will seat as one of Mayor Dutere’s cabinet members he will propose to the President to open the Malacañang sa Sugbo and make it as his office.
The Bisaya Na Pud founder, Michale Dino is a Cebuano businessman who graduated at Sacred Heart School for Boys in 1985. He graduated at De La Salle University in Manila with a degree in Business Management.
According to the official website of the Duterte volunteer group, Bisaya Na Pud Movement is an initiative of the Bisaya community who happens to be rhe largest enthic group in the country with 35 million Bisaya supporting the candidacy of Mayor Rodrigo Duterte.
