ABS-CBN CEO’s Unity Call Receives Mixed Reactions from Netizens

The country’s largest and most popular TV networks calls for unity and support the candidacy of the presumptive president of the Republic of the Philippines, Pres. Rody Duterte. ABS-CBN President and CEO Karlo L. Katigbak urged all Filipinos to support the administration of Mayor Duterte but some netizens lambasted the statement of ABS-CBN. The ABS-CBN CEO issued the statement despite the allegations that the company was biased against Mayor Duterte.

The ABS-CBN CEO stated “Kahit magkakaiba, tayo ay nagkakaisa! Kaya naman tayo ay magsama-sama bilang isang pamilya! Sa mga parating na pagbabago at pag-unlad, we are #OneKapamilya!”

Some netizens questioned the statement of ABS-CBN and reminded everybody that the Kapamilya Channel was one of the news media company that allegedly posted bias news against Mayor Duterte during the campaign period.

Although there are some negative comments against ABS-CBN, some of the station’s most avid supporters defended the station and noted that the election was already over and everybody should move forward and help the administration of Mayor Rody Duterte.
