The TV commercial which was paid for by the vice presidential candidate targets Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte.

The TV ad features children reacting to the controversial remarks of the tough-talking Davao City mayor, including his controversial remark to an Australian missionary and “cursing” at Pope Francis.

Trillanes said in an report published by Inquirer.net that the children featured on the ad were “purposely used to hammer the message that they should always be part of the consideration in our choice of leaders of the country not only because it is for their future but also because they will emulate these leaders.”

“Besides, the children were shown in a positive light and all pertinent laws were strictly followed,” Sen. Trillanes said. “Such hypocrisy, right? Now, that’s what the ad is all about too,” he added.

Meanwhhile, ABS-CBN, has released a statement over the airing of the Trillanes-sponsored ad which worth a whopping 20 million stating that it was “duty-bound to air a legitimate ad”.

The ad was reportedly aired on ABS-CBN rival networks, GMA-7 and TV5. But Kapatid Network earlier denied airing the anti-Duterte ad.

The anti-Duterte ad is currently making rounds online making it as the hottest topic on various social media platforms.

Trillanes recently castigated Duterte over alleged P2.4 billion bank deposits and several properties which were not declared on his statement of assets, liabilities and networth (SALN).

The running mate of Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago earlier filed  a plunder raps against Duterte over alleged 11,000 non-existent employees or ghost employees, receiving 708 million a year in Davao.

  1. Trillanes’s net worth is around P5.9 million based on his latest SALN. He supposedly paid P20 million for his Anti-Duterte ad. How was Trillanes able to afford this?
