Veteran journalist Kat De Castro, one of the vocal suppoter of Mayor Rodrigo Duterte aired her frustration and disappointment on TV networks who aired the controversial Anti-Duterte ads which became the hottest topic on social media after it was aired on Friday night.
The daughter of Noli De Castro revealed that Sen. Antonio Trillanes, the vice presidential candidate who keeps on attacking Mayor Duterte for the Davao City mayor’s involvement in various issues which were not proven in any court of law, revealed through her post that the senator was the one who is behind the controversial ad using children in attacking the leading presidential candidate.
Kat De Castro questioned the source of Sen. Trillanes funds and his capability to launch an attack against Mayor Duterte despite the fact that as a Vice Presidential candidate he could not even afford to finance his own political ad.
The controversial Anti-Duterte ads became the hottest topic on social media after it was aired on Friday night during primetime, some sources noted that the ads was not only seen on ABS-CBN but also on GMA-7.
Due to the popularity of the Anti-Duterte campaign which was allegedly financed by Sen. Trillanes, based upon some expose online, the said ad costs around P20 million to air on various TV stations.
Some political analysts noted that the controversial which was supposed to put Mayor Duterte under scrutiny among undecided voters, it will favor the mayor because of the constant attack received by the leading presidential candidate. Filipinos are always known to side with the underdogs and in this year’s election, Mayor Duterte is the underdog because of the joint attacks by his opponents in the presidential race.
