In a report by PhilStar, Wong’s lawyer, Atty. Kristoffer James Purisima delivered another P250 million to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) building in Manila.

The bundles of money were placed in nine large plastic bags having P230 million in bundles of P1,000 bills and the left P20 million were in bundles of P500 bills.

“I am a man of my word,” said Wong in an interview with Inquirer yesterday, May 4, 2016.

According to the report, the $81 million was brought to the Philippines through an electronic bank transfer to the Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC).

It is said that longtime client of the casino named Gao Shuhua together with an associate named Ding Zhize did the money transfer amounting P450 million. This was a payment for a gambling debt that Gao had acquired in 2014 by playing in Kim Wong’s casino.

According to Wong, after learning about the money paid to him by Gao was “dirty money”, he then volunteered to return it.

In the report, it says that Wong already turn overs all the money in cash. The first was $4.6 million, then the second was P38 million. The third on was P200 million, and the latest and final was P250 million.

Everything was turnover to the AMLC for safe keeping. It will be then returned to Bangladesh after the courts give clearance.
