The highly anticipated Binibini Pilipinas 2016 beauty pageant started with an introduction of the forty official candidates in the country’s most prestigious beauty contest. During the early start of the Bb. Pilipinas coronation night, the first set of special awards was given to the worthy candidates.
Binibini 16 Vina Openiano was awarded with two special awards, Best in Friendship and the Best in Talent Awards while Binibini No. 3 Angela Fernando was awarded with Best in National Costume. The heavy favorite of this year’s edition of Bb. Pilipinas, candidate No. 31 Miss Kylie Verzosa was also awarded with the Miss Photogenic Award.

At the end of the Bb. Pilipinas 2016 coronation ight, Miss Universe 2015 title holder Pia Wurtzbach will crown her successor together with her courts.
The other winners of this year’s Bb. Pilpinas will be crown by their respective predecessors, namely Miss Janicel Lubina (Miss International Top 10 Finalist), Rogelie Catacutan (Miss Supranational 2015 Top 20 Semi-Finalist), Christi McGarry (MIss Intercontinental 2015 1st Runner-up), Ann Lorraine Colis (Miss Globe 2015), and Parul Shah (Miss Grand International 2015 3rd Runner-up).
Kapamilya stars Xian Lim and KC Concepcion will be hosting the Bb. Pilipinas coronation night, the slightly delayed video coverage of the show will be shown on national TV, through its official broadcaster, ABS-CBN and the TFC Channel abroad.
