Richard Gomez is seeking for the mayoralty post of Ormoc City for the second time around after he lost to fellow political neophyte Edward Codilla in the 2013 local elections by a slim margin of 2,248 votes.
Mayor Rodrigo Duterte also endorsed the candidacy of Richard Gomez during a political rally in Ormoc City which was attended by thousands of Duterte supporters in Ormoc City.

Rep. Lucy Torres-Gomez and Richard Gomez is now considered as political figures in the Province of Leyte after they settled there for the past few years. The celebrity couples were just two of the showbiz personalities in Leyte that engaged in politics.
Richard Gomez will go up against incumbent mayor Edward Codilla while Lucy Torres is now seeking for re-elections as Leyte 4th District representative.
DUTERTE’s style of leadership is what our country needs today. Result oriented, time bound and has expectation planning type of leadership is what DUTERTE stands for. If elected as president, our country will face a new chapter in history better than our EDSA REVOLUTION.
EDSA REVOLUTION signifies in history of a country run by incompetent leaders. EDSA is a hangover of wanna be’s, good for nothing leaders. The Aquinos are a JOKE for real change. They made our nation into a sick tiger of ASIA. A laughing stock among Asian nations. Our 1987 constitution was created by deficit intellectuals who have no right imaginations on where it would lead a nation. This flawed, and sick constitution should be amended. This is a real issue. Issue that brings huge implications for nation building.
Arman, just pray to God that neither your daughter (if you have one) wife, sister or mother do not fall victim to Duterte’s charm. Remember the Australian woman who got raped and killed? Duterte looked at her dead body and wished he had been the first one to rape her. If that happened to your daughter, wife, sister of mother and Duterte looks at her “bangkay” and utters that he should have been the first to rape her, it looks like you will forgive him, right? After all, you have been hearing about his disrespectful ways with woman and still support him. Okay sa iyo iyon.
