Rep. Syjuco Files Plunder Case Against Pres. Aquino at the Ombudsman

One of the country’s most prominent lawmakers, Iloilo Rep. Augusto “Boboy” Syjuco Jr., filed a case against Philippine President Benigno S. Aquino III at the Office of the Ombudsman for an alleged Plunder over the misused of the P220 billion pork barrel funds.

Aside from President Aquino, also included in the plunder case filed against the President were Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Sec. Butch Abad, Agriculture Sec. Proceso Alcala and Senate President Franklin Drilon.

In a seven-page plunder complaint of Iloilo Congressman Syjuco, he stated that the administration of President Aquino is the biggest spender of the controversial pork barrel funds. He also noted that the President should answer to the Filipino people his alleged misuse of the Department of Agriculture’s budget.

The presidential candidate Syjuco also noted that the corruption of the pork barrel funds under the Aquino administration is indeed notorious.

The former congressman also added that aside from the misuse of the P220 billion pork barrel funds of the administration, the Aquino administration is also guilty of an alleged misuse of the P63.5 billion PDAF and the P157 billion DAP.

  1. Why was the other “A” in the Cuadro de Alas left out? Abaya (with Aquino, Alcala and Abad). Together we can call them ABAD company.
