The San Miguel Beermen lives another day after Game 5 of the PBA All Filipino Cup Finals as they defeated the Alaska Aces and extend the best-of-seven championship series with the final score of 86-73 in overtime. The Game 5 of the 2016 Smart Bro PBA Philippine Cup championship was held on Wednesday night at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Veteran Beermen, Arwind Santos who played poorly during the first three games of the championship series scored with an impressive 22 points, 16 rebounds, three assists, four steals and four blocks for San Miguel, who survived their second do-or-die game in the PBA Finals.
Former Beermen hotshots and one of Alaska Aces veteran, Dondon Hontiveros sent the game into Overtime period for his wide-open three-pointer with 45.3 seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 67-all and extends Game 5 into overtime period.
San Miguel scored the first 11 points in the overtime period to take a 78-67 lead with 1:17 remaining. The Aces were scoreless until Vic Manuel sank a free throw with 1:15 left and won’t hit a field goal until Calvin Abueva made a basket with 54.4 seconds to go.
The Game 6 of the PBA All Filipino Cup Finals 2016 will be held this coming Friday at the historic Big Dome or the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
