Actress Denise Laurel won the second season of “Your Face Sounds Familiar,” despite the fact at she have not won any of the weekly competition of the country’s most unique singing competition. Denise Laurel scored her biggest win the competition as she captured the hears of the viewers who voted her in the grand finale.
The 28-year-old Denise Laurel impersonated Beyonce during the live grand finals night held at the Resorts World Manila. She took home P2 million in cash prize, half of which will be donated to her chosen charity, Caritas Manila.
Denise Laurel earned 27.52 percent of votes for her impersonation of Beyonce during the final performance on Saturday. Right after the announcement of winner on Sunday, Denise Laurel was so grateful and she was quoted as saying “I just want to say thank you to our Lord, who loves all of us so much. Without Him, we are nothing,” she said.
Aside from Denise also recognized during the announcement of grand finale winners were singers Michael Pangilinan who impersonated Adam Levine of Maroon 5, who came in second with 23.87 percent votes.
Sam Concepcion, who impersonated Justin Bieber, came in third, KZ Tandingan as Lady Gaga came in fourth, while rocker Kean Cipriano came in fifth for his impersonation of Ricky Martin.
Before the announcement of winners, the three other celebrity performers namely Eric Nicolas, Kakai Bautista and Myrtle Sarrosa came out on stage as the Bee Gees doing a disco medley of the 70’s dance hits.
