One of the most vocal supporter of Mayor Duterte former, Cotabato Governor Manny Pinol claimed that the multinational news media in the country misinterpreted the statement made by Mayor Duterte that he will impose a “1:00 AM Curfew” which was cited by some news agency as a prelude to a possible Martial Law.
According to Manny Pinol he find it hilarious if not ridiculous, that the mainstream media could misinterpret the statement of Mayor Rody Dutere about the “1 AM Curfe” which was also imposed during the Martial Law that curtail’s people’s movement during specified hours at night.
Pinol noted that some news media got it all wrong when Mayor Duterte talked about imposing a 1:00 AM curfew. The mayor was actually referring to the curfew he imposed in Davao City for the serving of beer and other intoxicating drinks.
In Davao City under the leadership of Mayor Duterte they have been implementing a curfew law, ordering that those 18 years old and below are not allowed to loiter in the city between 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM unless they are accompanied by their parents or guardians of legal age.
