Fil-Am Bobby Ray Parks Now an Official Member of NBA D-League’s Texas Legends

Homegrown Filipino-American basketball star Bobby Ray Parks Jr. of the National University Bulldogs has made the final cut of the NBA D-League team Texas Legends, a the D-League team of the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA. The Fil-Am guard made it to the final line-up of the Texas Legends.

The 22-year-old Bobby Ray Parks join the Texas Legends on their opening night lineup announcement by the management of the Dallas Mavericks.

Bobby Ray Parks, a former UAAP Most Valuable Player joined the Legends with three other draft picks. The Fil-Am will join the lineup of the Texas Legends composed of Brandon Ashley, Thomas Brophen, Sherron Collins, Allen Durham, Tu Holloway, Justin Reynolds and Jamil Wilson.

Dallas Mavericks NBA rookie draft pick and the first Indian basketball player in the NBA, the 7-footer Satnam Singh also joined the Texas Legends who will be participating in the NBA D-League tournament.

The Texas Legends waived George Beamon, forward Kevin Parrom, center Stan Simpson, guard Marcus Tarrance and guard Quardell Young. Bobby Ray Parks is trying to become the first homegrown Filipino player to make it to the NBA.
