Sen. Bongbong Marcos Filed COC for Vice President (Video)

Senator Bongbong Marcos, the son of the late strongman, former President Ferdinand Marcos, formalized his candidacy for Vice President as he filed his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) to the Commission on Elections on the second day of filing.

During the filing of COC, Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. was accompanied by his mother, Ilocos Norte Rep. Imelda Marcos.

The 58-year-old Sen. Bongbong Marcos greeted the crowd of media men and said he will go around the country to campaign for a higher post.

Sen. Marcos who is the chairman of the Senate Committee on Local Government and the Committee on Public Works declared his intentions to run for Vice President earlier despite the fact that he has no running mate for President.

Before becoming a senator of the Republic of the Philippines, he was a former congressman and former governor of Ilocos Norte, one of the most progressive provinces in the Philippines. Sen. Marcos also served as Deputy Minority Leader of the House of Representatives.
