Former Miss Tourism International, Miss Rizzini Alexis Gomez who won the title during the year 2012, died on Tuesday morning as confirmed by her families after a long battle with lung cancer. The young beauty queen was just 25 years old.
The father of Miss Rizzini Alexis Gomez, former PBA Player Roel Gomez confirmed the news of the untimely death of his daughter, together with his wife, Mayenne Vijandre.
The news was also confirmed by the public relations officer of the local beauty pageant organization Mutya ng Pilipinas.
Miss Rizzini Alexis Gomez passed away at around 8:30 A.M. at the Cebu Doctors’ University Hospital in Cebu City where the family of the beauty queen lives.
The young beauty queen, Miss Rizzini Alexis Gomez found her fame after she bested 50 other hopefuls in the 2012 edition of the Miss Tourism International beauty pageant held in Malaysia.
