The Gilas Pilipinas vs. India game will start at around 2:30 P.M., today, September 29, 2015 as the Philippines will try to continue their winning streak in the second round after successfully winning against Japan and Iran.

Philippines is now assured of a seat in the quarterfinals after they defeated Japan and Iran in the crossover second round of the eliminations. India suffered a huge setbacks against powerhouse Iran and was defeated by Japan during their second round matches.

Gilas Pilipinas is expected to finish first in the second round and could face a lighter opponents in the quarterfinals and semifinals. If Gilas wins over India today they might face the winner of Jordan and Lebanon and could possibly face Qatar in the semis.

If the Philippines loses to India they will face South Korea in the quarterfinals, China in the semis and Iran in the finals if possible.

Player to Watch for Team India:

Team India in FIBA Asia is considered as a team with plenty of size and features the competition’s leading scorer, Amjyot Singh, with an average of 25.4 points and 10.4 rebounds.

The 6-foot-8 Amjyot Singh has been playing huge for Team India as he can easily score around the basket and has a good outside shooting at the three-point areas.

The other player to watch for India is Amritpal Singh, listed at 6-foot-9 but not as impressive as Amjyot but got an impressive average of 11.2 points and 8.6 rebounds per game.

Aside from the two Singh, the 6-foot-4 Vishesh Bhriguvanshi is also considered as a threat for Gilas as he is considered as a knockdown shooter and a smart playmaker. He averaged 5.2 assists on top of 14 points per game for Team India.
