Based on the current track of the three major hurricanes in the Pacific Ocean, PAGASA noted that the three hurricanes named Ignacio, Kilo and Jimena reaches Category 4 based on previous reports.

Hurrican Ignacio now weakens into a Category 2 hurricane but PAGASA already forecasts that the three hurricanes will not hit the land mass in the Philippines.

According to PAGASA meteorologist Benison Estraneja, the hurricanes will not enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), because they are not going in our direction.

Based upon the initial statement of various international agencies, this was the first time that three major storms emerged simultaneously in the Pacific Ocean which is currently being affected by a strong El Niño episode.

PAGASA also noted that the LPA east of Luzon that has brought rains over the region since late last week has dissipated on Wednesday.
