Manny Pacquiao Scheduled to Fight Amir Khan in the Middle East Next Year

The Filipino boxing icon, Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao is scheduled to fight the popular British boxer Amir Khan as promoter Bob Arum suggested. The highly anticipated Pacquiao vs. Khan fight will be held in the Middle East next year after Amir Khan missed out on meeting the undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Floyd Mayweather already revealed that his next scheduled fight will be against Andre Berto, which was a decision labelled by Bob Arum as “a farce.”

The 36-year-old Manny Pacquiao was previously beaten by the undefeated American boxer Floyd Mayweather and his manager, Top Rank top honcho, Bob Arum eyed Amir Khan as his possible opponent for a boxing extravaganza which will be hosted by Abu Dhabi.

In an interview with the “The Telegraph” Bob Arum made the following statement:

This kid Amir Khan keeps shooting his mouth off about Manny Pacquiao. I can arrange for Khan to fight Pacquiao. Amir Khan has been begging Mayweather for a fight and now he can get a major fight. I’m not a hard guy to deal with. I’m not going to mess them around.

That’s a farce [Mayweather’s bout with Berto]. Mayweather should have fought Khan next. It would have been an interesting fight. One thing’s for sure, Pacquiao is not ducking Khan. Pacquiao will fight him. I don’t know if Khan will fight Pacquiao, but it’s available.

Manny’s not going to fight this year. He’ll fight early next year and probably in the Middle East. Vegas is a possibility, but more likely in the Middle East. It won’t be in Dubai but it will be in the Middle East. If not, we’ll do it in Vegas.
