Alleged Dredging Device from China Recovered by Pinoy Fishermen

Two big pipes which are allegedly used as dredging device were recovered by Filipino fishermen off the coast of Zambales. The device were reportedly owned by China based on the markings in the equipment recovered fishermen in the areas of Iba, Zambales.

According to the provincial government of Zambales they are still investigation the recent discovery of floating booms which allegedly had dredging device.

Some fishermen in Zambales first saw the orange containment booms, about a kilometer long, on Friday or within 3 nautical miles from the shoreline of Cabangan town in Zambales.

Some experts noted that a floating boom is a temporary barrier used to contain an oil spill but the Philippine Coast Guard and the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), the alleged dredging device is possibly owned by the Chinese because of the markings on the equipment.

The 150-meter pipe which was used a dredging device was first spotted by the residents of Brgy. Sto. Rosario, 10 miles away from Subic, Zambales. The other pipe measures 700 meters and was recovered the fishermen from Brgy. San Agustin.
