Erap Skips UNA Launch, UNA ‘Will Do Everything’ to Get Erap’s Support

Following former President and now incumbent Manila Mayor Joseph “Erap” Estrada absence in the United Nationalist Alliance launching on Monday, UNA said it “will do everything” to get his support.

Estrada has been one of the major persons behind the opposition but his absence left people asking why amid issues that he is not yet ready who to endorse.

The incumbent Manila City mayor, however, attended the anniversary of the Manila Health department saying he received the invitation first than UNA’s launching.

Estrada then admitted that he is not yet sure of who to endorse in the coming 2016 polls.

UNA spokesperson Mon Ilagan in a report said the support of Estrada in the 2016 polls will strengthen the Binay’s chance if the mayor will not support Sen. Grace Poe.

“It will have an effect on VP Binay’s vote because Erap undeniably still has the mass appeal and following. However, both PMP and UNA are considered opposition so with 11 months to go, marami pang mangyayari,” Ilagan said.

Estrada has not yet made his decision since Poe has not made her mind whether to run or not.
