MIAA Turned Over Jiro Manio to His Relatives After Staying at NAIA

Controversial actor Jiro Manio was already turned over to his relatives after staying at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 for the past four days which made headlines in various news media outlets in the Philippines.

According to NAIA Terminal 3 manager Octavio “Bing” Lina, the former child actor was convinced to return to his family, after the NAIA officers provided the award-winning actor with clothes and was allowed to use the terminal’s bathroom facilities.

Aside from the provision given by airport officials, some airport personnel also provided meals for the actor. The NAIA 3 Terminal Manager stated that “All of us have a moral obligation to help any person in distress and Jiro is such a young and wonderful boy that he deserved a second chance,” Lina said.

The 23-year-old Jiro Manio also underwent medical check up and was initially prescribed with antibiotics for the abrasions on his leg, he was given the clean bill of health for release to his family.

The award-winning “Magnifico” actor was found on Tuesday roaming and begging for food at Terminal 3, where he had been staying for four days at the airport’s departure area. He was then taken into custody by airport police after photos of him going around the terminal went viral online.
