VP Binay Confronts Police, Points Finger. Police To File Charges.

As Mayor Jejomar Erwin “Junjun” Binay received suspension anew, tensions broke at the Makati City Hall late Monday following father, Vice President Jejomar Binay confronted the police barring the building, a radio report said.

The Makati Mayor faces charges following the allegedly anomalous construction of the Makati Science High School building.

The Department of Interior and Local Government officials supposed to serve the suspension against the younger Binay, however, supporters have flocked to the city hall to prevent the DILG.

The younger Binay remains in his office at the city hall while policemen secures no supporters enter the City Hall premises.

According to DZMM report, Vice president Binay went to the city hall around 11 p.m, joined by Senator Nancy Binay.

Senior Superintendent Elmer Jamias, the ground commander however, refused to remove the barricades.

The VP and Jamias eventually had a heated confrontation as Binay pointed his finger to the policeman.

Jamias said in a report that he vowed to file charges against VP Binay.

Binay also hit Chief Inspector Gideon Ginez for allegedly pushing away Aida Dizon, sister of his wife Dr. Elenita Binay, following attempt to get inside the City Hall.

Ginez meanwhile denied Binay’s accusation.

Policemen remain firm to barricade the city hall as additional troops were sent earlier following Binay supporters’ raging actions towards DILG and police security.
