Debris of the rocket capsule showered into the Atlantic Ocean.

The lift off was supposed to be a routine cargo mission to the International Space Station.

“The vehicle has broken up,” said NASA commentator George Diller said.

As NASA television broadcasted footage of the rocket falling into pieces, it was explained that SpaceX has experience “launch vehicle failure” upon firing its unmanned Dragon cargo ships.

The liftoff was also said to be the third attempt of NASA this year.

The vehicle was carrying 4, 000 lb of gear, including food, supplies, and experiments for growing lettuce in space supposed to be carried into the space station.

American astronaut Scott Kelly and two Russian cosmonauts Mikhail Kornienko and station commander Gennady Padalka are currently living at the space station.
