Possible Members of the Gilas Pilipinas 26-Man Pool for the FIBA Asia 2015

The highly anticipated FIBA Asia 2015 Championship which will be held in the next few months features some of the country’s most deserving players. According to some basketball insiders, there will be new faces in the Gilas Pilipinas 2015 26-man pool for FIBA Asia, which is based on Coach Tab Baldwin’s vision to form a tall team that can run.

According to a news posted by Spin.ph, the website was able to compile the names of the players most likely in the pool already submitted by the former New Zealand coach to PBA commissioner Chito Salud.

The list of the 26-man pool of Gilas Pilipinas 3.0 reportedly contained names who are former members of the last Gilas squad that participated in Spain and added with a mix of veterans of the PBA and rising stars in the league.

Some of the notable names who are reportedly included in the list are the best big men of today like June Mar Fajardo, Gregory Slaughter, Sonny Thoss, Raymond Almazan, Japeth Aguilar, Ranidel De Ocampo, Beau Belga and the 42-year-old Asi Taulava.

Coach Tab Baldwin also tapped agile wingmen like Marc Pingris, Aldrech Ramos, Gabe Norwood, Matt Ganuelas Rosser, Kelly Williams, Jeff Chan, Jarred Dillinger and Cliff Hodge.

The list also includes two-guards Terrence Romeo, Jayson Castro, Dondon Hontiveros, Marcio Lassiter, Gary David, Larry Fonacier and defensive sentinel Ryan Reyes and point guards Terrence Romeo, LA Tenorio, Mark Barroca and Paul Lee.
