GlobalPort Holds Player’s Only Meeting After a Humiliating 73-126 Loss Against Hotshots

GlobalPort Batang Pier enters the quarterfinals of the 2015 PBA Governors Cup with a twice-to-beat advantage as they ranked No. 4 during the elimination rounds while the Purefoods Star Hotshots was ranked at No. 5 at the end of the elimination, but that advantage was wiped away by the Hotshots.

The Batang Pier suffered their worst loss of the season as they were humiliated by Purefoods Star Hotshots during the Game 1 of the quarterfinals. The team immediately hold a player’s only meeting right after their 73-106 lost against the more determined Hotshots.

The 126-73 defeat of the GlobalPort gave the jubilant Hotshots squad another life to stay in contention with the Governors Cup title.

Each of the Batang Pier squad left the Araneta Coliseum with humiliation as what Terrence Romeo did when he walked out with his head down. Terrence Romeo topscored for his squad with 18 points but was not enough to led his team’s victory against Purefoods.

According to GlobalPort import Jarrid Famous, the Hotshots’ desire to win the game was far too greater than theirs. Jarrid Famous finished with 16 points, 15 rebounds double-double performance.
