Liberal Party (LP) prospective presidential candidate is Interior Secretary Mar Roxas, for the vice-president however is a question everyone wants to know from the party.
Roxas then asked Sen. Grace Poe to be his vice presidential running mate, but the senator has not yet made a commitment to Roxas.
Poe told reporters on Wednesday that the secretary has mentioned on meetings with her about the plan.
“The plan of Senator Roxas is clear to me now. Sometimes, when we see each other, he mentions that it would be good if we [run] together,” Poe said.
President Aquino denounced Monday that Roxas is still the favored candidate of the administration in the coming 2016 elections.
While on Tuesday, Roxas said he was ready to continue the administration’s push for anti-corruption.
“I think it’s clear. He is ready,” Poe added.
The senator is yet to decide whether to join Roxas in his run for higher position saying she had told the DILG sec that they both have the desire to continue the fight against corruption.
But noted that they also have different views in other matters.
Poe also added that the basis of her decision would not only matter of their friendship but also of their same views and trust in each other.
While pulled by both parties, Poe opened to still be being independent.
Meanwhile, Senator Chiz Escudero extended her support to Poe whatever decision she make.
