PNP Released P1.9 Billion as First Half of 13th Month Pay of PNP Personnel

The Philippine National Police (PNP) released P1.9 billion for the first half of the 3th Month Pay of its 155,000 Uniformed and non-uniformed personnel as announced by the national government. All active PNP members received the pay last Friday, while the other half of the 13th month pay will be released in December 2015.

According to PNP Spokesperson Senior Supt. Bartolome Tobias, although the other half of the 13th month pay was already released, he however noted that the release of bonuses to PNP member with pending administrative and criminal cases would be deferred “as administrative policy.”

The Philippine national government already released a total of P1,933,664,893.50 through the PNP Finance Service, which credited the amount to the individual ATM payroll accounts of PNP members.

The director of PNP Finance Service, Chief Supt. Roberto Aliggayu also stated that those PNP members who were not yet enrolled in the ATM Payroll System of the PNP would receive checks through the Regional Finance Service Offices.

Based upon the Philippine Law mandates, government workers are entitled to receive a mid-year bonus, representing 50-percent of the 13th month pay and other cash benefits.
