Minor Quakes Hit Batangas, Cagayan, Dinagat

Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) has recorded three mild quakes on Sunday hitting various parts of the country.

According to Phivolcs, the first quake measuring 3.3 occurred at 2:04 a.m was recorded off Calatagan town in Batangas.

The second 3.8 quake occurred fourteen minutes later with its epicenter located 119 kilomters of Calaan in Cagayan at 2:18 a.m.

The magnitude 3.0 quake followed at 2:23 a.m, occurred off Loreto town in Dinagat province, was located 51 kilometers northeast of the said town.

The recorded quakes was explained by Phivolcs as tectonic in nature.

Meanwhile, officials said no damage and aftershocks were expected from the minor quakes.
