One of Asia’s most popular singer, Gerphil Flores aired his official statement and explained the main reasons why she did not perform during the Sunday’s edition of ASAP, one of the country’s top-rating musical variety show. The singer was the only one who was absent among the finalist of Asia’s Got Talent that made a special appearance in ABS-CBN.
The finalists of Asi’s got talent, Gwyneth Dorado, Junior New System and El Gamma Penumbra all performed on ASAP on Sunday. The finalists also appeared in other ABS-CBN shows in the next succeeding days.
In an exlcusive interviews withe Push, Gerphil Flores said she was still in Singapore at the time and couldn’t perform with the other finalists.
Gerphil Flores explained “Unang-una po ‘yung sa ‘ASAP’ guesting, marami pong naghanap po sa akin dun. Bakit wala si Gerphil, ‘yung tatlo lang? Kasi po nauna po silang umuwi sa ‘kin, naiwan po ako sa Singapore. Tapos nakauwi po ako Monday lang po ng gabi. Na-extend po ‘yung stay ko dun at dahil po dun, hindi po ako nakasama sa ‘ASAP,'” she said during a press conference for the Filipino finalists.
The classical singer also addressed rumors that she as a grudge against the Kapamilya Channel, and noted that she has yet to receive an invitation from the network. Although Gerphil Flores failed to make it to the finals of the first season of “Pilipinas Got Talent” in 2010 but stressed that she is willing to perform in any network.
As for her future plans, Flores said she will be finishing her last semester at the University of the Philippines, where is taking up Voice.
