Following the warning done by the Chinese navy over a US surveillance plane flying over artificial islands on May 20, a video was released on YouTube shooing away US aircraft, “Go away quickly.”
Beijing is creating artificial islands in the disputed South China Sea to which US believe as areas for airfields, surveillance systems and harbors that would jeopardize regional stability.
After the American pilots responded to the command saying the plane was flying through international airspace, a Chinese radio operator said with enragement: “This is the Chinese navy…You go!”
Earlier, the US accused China of building up to 800 hectares artificial islands in Spratlys, an archipelago of more than a hundred islands, reefs, and atolls between Vietnam and Philippines.
