The Philippine national government through various agencies released the official lists of Statement of Assets and Liabilities (SALN) of the Philippine Senators for the year 2014 which was submitted by each elected officials in the Upper House of the Philippine Congress.
Senator Cynthia Villar, the wife of former senator and Presidential candidate Manny Villar dominated the list of the richest senators in country, following the footsteps of her husband who was previously named as the richest senator in the country during his terms of office.
According to the Philippine Senate, each elected senators of the Republic of the Philippines are required to submit their yearly Statement of Assets and Liabilites to the Senate Secretariat.
