Bagyong Dodong Storm Signals & Hourly Updates (May 8, 2015)

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather bulletin of the newest weather disturbance, Bagyong Dodong that already entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility. PAGASA raised the public storm warning signals in different areas of the country.

Bagyong Dodong Signal

Based upon PAGASA’s Severe Weather Bulletin No. 5, the Tropical Cyclone Noul (Bagyong Dodong) has slowed down as it continues to move in a West Northwest direction. The weather bulletin was issued at around 5:00 AM today, May 8, 2015.

PAGASA noted that as of 4:00 AM, Bagyong Dodong was located based on all available data at 595 km East of Borongan, Eastern Samar. Bagyong Dodong was packed with maximum sustained winds of 150 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 185 kph.

Bagyong Dodong, the fourth typhoon that entered the Philippines is forecast to move West Northwest at 17 kph. PAGASA forecast that the weather disturbance will be at 365 km East of Virac, Catanduanes by tomorrow morning. On Sunday morning it is expected to be at 175 km East of Baler, Aurora, and on Monday morning at the vicinity of Calayan Island, Cagyan and on Tuesday morning at 355 km North Northeast of Basco, Batanes.
