Liberal Party’s Possible Senatorial Slate in the 2016 National Elections

The administration party of the Philippines, the Liberal Party are already considering some names to be part of the Senatorial slate in the coming 2016 national elections. The chairman of the LP Committee on electoral and Political Affars, Caloocan Rep. Edgar Erice stated hat names are only being considered but not yet final.

Rep. Erice also clarified that the names were not yet final and President Aquino will make the announcement by the end of June. After the announcement, that will be the right time that the Liberal Party will name their official senatorial slate for the 2016 Elections.

The Liberal party will field a total of 12 candidates for the Philippine Senate.

Meanwhile, listed below are some of the names being considered by the Liberal Party to be part of their official 12 Senatorial Candidates:

2. Actor Dingdong Dantes
3. Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista
4. Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno

5. Justice Sec. Leila de Lima
6. MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino
7. Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo
8. Vice-Governor of Siquijor Dingdong Avanzado

9. Senator Franklin Drilon
10. Senator Ralph Recto
11. Senator TG Guingona
12. Senator Sergio Osmeña III

13. Former Senator Ping Lacson
14. Former Senator Kiko Pangilinan
15. Energy Secretary Jericho Petilla
16. Sec. Joel Villanueva of TESDA

17. PhilHealth Dir. Risa Hontiveros
18. Pasig Rep. Roman Romulo
