Kris Aquino Backed Out from Mistress Movie Due to Contract Conflict

Kapamilya actress and TV host Kris Aquino decided to back out from a movie wherein she will portray as a mistress, the planned film is an adaptation of the book “Etiquette for Mistresses and What Wives Can Learn From Them.” Kris Aquino explained that the supposed movie poses a conflict with her existing endorsement contract.

In an interview with ABS-CBN on Wednesday held on the sidelines of a press conference held by a jewelry brand “My Diamond,” Kris Aquino announced that she and her manager decided to back out from the planned movie project.

The 44-year-old actress and TV host Kris Aquino previously announced her involvement with the Chito Rono project last March. During her announcement she noted that she finally agreed to the director’s suggestion of portraying as a mistress in a movie.

However, Kris Aquino and her manager Boy Abunda, recently realized that hey had overlooked a clause in her updated contract with a multinational company whose product she endorses.

Based upon the provisions of Kris Aquino’s contract, which pertains to portrayal of characters in movies or TV shows that would “run contrary to the image she projects as a family woman or as a mother.” The clause stated that she would need the consent of the company in taking the role that is in conflict with Filipino values.
