Born in Australia, Jasmine Curtis-Smith is Pinay at heart who has been active in helping her less fortunate countrymen especially calamity-affected individuals.

Smith joined a relief operation in Bulacan to reach out some 2, 000 families affected by severe flooding in 2011 while in 2013 she also volunteered in distributing relief goods in Parañaque City and Metro Manila and rushed to Bohol when a 7.2 magnitude earthquake devastated the region.
Her (Jasmine) efforts of fighting against hunger and involvements in helping the community captured the World vision naming her as the youth ambassador joining the coaster which includes Lea Salonga, Miriam Quiambao, Sam Milby, Nikki Gil, Marc Nelson, Christian Bautista, Julius and Cristine Bersola-Babao, Sam Concepcion, Tippy dos Santos, among others.
World Vision Director Jun Godornes endeared Smith’s genuine concern and love for children showing exemplary as her celebrity status did not hinder her from reaching out to the community.
Gordones added that Smith serves as an inspiration as she shows concern, hoping that Filipino youth would emulate what she does.
Smith’s involvement in World Vision started when she was still a student back in Australia where she participated in “Famine”, a campaign against hunger and malnutrition with her sister Ann Curtis.
Drawing back her experience, the young celebrity noted that it made her see how much help is needed making her want to give more whether of her resources or time.
Smith has been encouraging people to join with the World Vision’s advocacy. “There are many other ways in which you can lend a hand,” she said.
Recently, Jasmine get involved in White Event, an online sale where some other personalities sell their pre-loved white items.
The Catmon Integrated School in Malabon City will be the beneficiary of the auction running until May 8.
