Benedicto Buenaventura, the lawyer, said that the helper claimed that the owner’s son Lloyd, 27, brought a foul-smelling chemical to the store the night before the incident.

The helper, said Buenaventura, also claimed that Lloyd after learning of his father’s death rushed to the store and ordered him to clean the utensils and the remaining liquids.

The issue reported involving the son said Buenaventura is hurting the family as they are still in the midst of grief.

Test results conducted by the Food and Drugs Administration in the milk tea sample obtained initially showed no traces of toxic substances. Meanwhile, toxicology tests on the victims’ remains were also done by Manila Police District.

Buenaventura said that the family is willing to cooperate further with the MPD hoping that the statement from the family will bring closure to the issue.

The food poisoning also led to the death of customer Suzanne Dagohoy and sent her boyfriend Arnold Aydalla to the hospital.
