“You’re My Boss” Movie Earns P25 Million on its Opening Day

The movie “You’re My Boss” featuring the first big-screen team-up of Coco Martin and Toni Gonzaga earned P25 million on its opening day on Black Saturday. The box office income of the latest Star Cinema movie was announced by Kris Aquino on The Buzz during the finale episode of the show on Sunday.

Toni Gonzaga, one of the main character of the movie and was part of The Buzz as co-hosts, the actress was extremely grateful to those who already watched the movie.

Despite the fact that the movie was competing against one of the most popular Hollywood movie for this month, the “Fast and Furious 7” the local movie still managed to compete against the best international movies so far this year.

According to Toni Gonzaga during an interview, competing against a popular Hollywood movie is a challenged. She was quoted as saying “Mahirap din na nakasabay namin yung ‘Fast and the Furious.’ Pero natutuwa kami sa mga manonood dahil naging option nila ang ‘You’re My Boss,’” she said.

Toni Gonzaga also added that all their hard work was worth it because of the overflowing support of the moviegoers for their movie “You’re My Boss,” one of the movie released by Star Cinema for summer 2015.

The movie tells about the love story of a conceited boss and her assistants who end up switching roles. You’re My Boss is under the direction of Antoinette Jadaone, the director of the blockbuster hit “That Thing Called Tadhana” and “Beauty in a Bottle.”
