The country’s “Teen King” Daniel Padilla made international headlines after he was awarded with a Global Nickelodeon recognition. Daniel Padilla won the “Global Slime A Star” category of the yearly Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. The Filipino teen star failed to win the much coveted “Asian Act” but the recognition was really an honor for Daniel Padilla.
According to the 19-year-old Daniel Padilla he dedicates his trophy and recognition to his rumored girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo who will be coming with him in the United States for a series of shows.
During the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, the Indonesian idol group JKT48 won the Kids’ Choice Award for the Asian Act category, which means that more Indonesians voted for the group compared to Daniel Padilla.
Daniel Padilla is the first-ever Filipino who received an award in the internationally-known Nickelodeon. The young singer is the Philippines representative to the global competition. The son of Karla Estrada thanked their fans and supporters for the support given to Daniel Padilla.
The Nickelodeon’s Asian Act category is the most coveted award for any Asian, so there are some fans and followers of Daniel who were angry with the results, but according to DJ and Karla, being nominated in Nickelodeon is an achievement already.
Karla Estrada even posted the following Instagram post “Guys its ok!!! Bonggaaa na ang manominate! And lets be thankful na may napanalo parin tayo! Tama na ang drama guys! Magpakasaya tayo!”
