Police Inspector Sophia Loren Deliu, a member of the Philippine National Police (PNP) will join the Miss Earth Philippines 2015 beauty pageant, one of the country’s most prestigious beauty pageant. The police officer will be the second police officer who entered the world of beauty pageant after PO2 Niel Perez.
The first police officer who joined and eventually won in the world of beauty pageant is PO2 Niel Perez, who represented the country at the Mister International Competition held in Seoul, Korea and brought home the title.
Miss Sophia Loren Deliu was interviewed by Aksyon TV and aired noted during the interview that her entry to Miss Earth Philippines will probably create a big impact, especially to the world of officership because she is the first lady officer to join such prestigious pageant.
The police officer candidate for Miss Earth Philippines also added that “I think this will be a great opportunity for us to reach the people, na approachable ang mga pulis,” she said.
The Miss Earth Philippines candidate Miss Sophia Loren Deliu was a graduate of BS Tourism Management before deciding to enter the Philippine National Police Academy in Baguio last year.
The aspiring Miss Earth candidate had a background in modeling and even joined Miss Teen Philippines in 2006, and Miss Baguio in 2008.
