Richard Yap Back on Prime Time with “Someone to Watch Over Me”

Phenomenal daytime series actor Richard Yap will be back on prime time programming in his upcoming series “Someone to Watch Over Me,” featuring the Ms. Judy Ann Santos, one of the country’s most prominent prime time actress of her generation. After the huge success of Richard Yap’s daytime series with Jodi Sta. Maria, he is set to return to prime time TV.

The 47-year-old Richard Yap launched his career on prime time when he was introduced as one of Kapamilya’s newest actor in the series “My Binondo Girl” which stars PBB Big Winner Kim Chiu and chinito actor Xian Lim.

In a recent interview conducted by PhilStar, Richard Yap was asked if he felt pressured being partnered with Ms. Judy Ann Santos, the actor replied that, he don’t think he should be worried because according to him more than pressures, he’s excited to work with Judy Ann.

Richard Yap was quoted as saying “I heard so many good things about her,” he said about his new leading lady. “So I’m looking forward to be working with her. Nine-nerbiyos din [ako] kasi siyempre it’s a new project, we don’t know how the viewers will take it with the story. We’re hoping the viewers will like it,” Richard Yap stated.

On the big screen, Richard Yap was also featured as General Wilson Chua in the movie Praybeyt Benjamin II, now considered as the Philippines top grossing movie of all time featuring Vice Ganda for the lead role.

Aside from Richard Yap and Judy Ann Santos who will be the main characters in the series “Someone to Watch Over You,” veteran stars such as Eddie Garcia and Tirso Cruz III will join the casts of the highly anticipated prime time series.
