PBA To Give Away Free Tickets for Pacquiao’s Last Game Before Flying to the US

Asia’s oldest professional basketball league, the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) will be giving away free tickets to the game featuring Kia Carnival and Blackwater Elite on Saturday night at The Arena in San Juan as treat to fans who wants to see Pinoy boxing icon Manny Pacquiao one last time before he flies to the United States for his highly anticipated mega bout against Floyd Mayweather Jr.

The 36-year-old Manny Pacquiao, the playing of Kia Carnival, already committed to play for his squad on Saturday night before focusing on his preparations for the bout set on May 2, 2015 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

According to the PBA chief statistician Fidel Mangonon, a total of 2,000 tickets to the general admission and the Upper Box Section of the San Juan Arena will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis on Saturday.

During the PBA career of Manny Pacquiao, he has already played in a total of four games and successfully scored his first point to show to his basketball fans that he has what it takes to be a PBA player. The last time that Manny Pacquiao played in the PBA was during Kia Carnival’s upset of playoff favorites Talk ‘N Text.

Although there are speculations that playing in the PBA could lead to some serious injuries on his part, Manny Pacquiao said that playing basketball helps him improve his conditioning.

Manny Pacquiao’s team, Kia Carnival has a total of 3 wins against 4 losses in the PBA, as they will face Blackwater Elite (1-6), one of the newest franchise in the PBA. During their first encounter in the Commissioner’s Cup, the Carvinal prevail last October which also saw Pacquiao’s playing debut as a professional basketball player.
