Kapamilya teen stars Julia Barretto finally meets his loving father after a snubbing incident when the actress posted a photo of herself with Dennis Padilla on Instagram. The father and daughter appears having patched things up after previous misunderstandings.
The meeting of Julia Barretto and the 53-year-old Dennis Padilla came a month after it was revealed that the teen star, allegedly ignored Dennis Padilla during a party held last December, during the event organized by Dreamscape.
Based upon the Instagram photo, Julia Barretto was seen smiling and added a photo caption that says “Papa being his comedian self.”
The snubbing incident between Julia Barretto and Dennis Padilla happened during the gathering of stars and staff of Dreamscape-produced series, which took place last December 14. Dennis Padilla was a cast member of “Ikaw Lamang,” while his daughter Julia, played the title role in “Mirabella.”
According to previous reports, the main reasons of the snubbing incident was because of Julia Barretto’s dropping of the “Padilla” surname. Julia’s camp noted that the petition to drop the Padilla surname was to “prevent confusion” regarding her name, being a public figure.
The recent meeting of Julia Barretto and her father Dennis Padilla is also timely considering that the teen star is set to celebrate his 18th birthday this coming March 10, 2015.
Julia Barretto is considered as one of the few stars who was dubbed as a “showbiz royalty” when she was launched in 2013 as a Star Magic Artist. The actress is a niece of actress Gretchen and Claudine Barretto, two of the country’s most popular leading ladies during their time.
