The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced the road closure and traffic re-routing for the Wednesday’s 29th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution, which will be celebrating it’s 29th anniversary. Some roads in Metro Manila will be closed to traffic starting midnight until 4:00 PM on Wednesday.
The MMDA also announced that the number coding for Wednesday, February 25 will still be in effect in Metro Manila. Through the official social media accounts of the MMDA, they released the list of roads which will be closed during the EDSA holiday.
Based upon the number coding system of the MMDA, vehicles cannot pass major roads in Metro Manila from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., depending on the last digit of their license plates. Covered by the number coding on Monday are vehicles with plate numbers ending in 1 and 2; 3 and 4 on Tuesdays; 5 and 6 on Wednesdays; 7 and 8 on Thursdays; and 9 and 0 on Fridays.
According to MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino a total of 1,104 traffic and clearing operations personnel will man traffic along EDSA, and guide motorists using the alternate routes. Traffic aides will also implement the traffic management plan that will sustain the unimpeded flow of vehicles.

Shaw Boulevard to Santolan and all perpendicular roads from east side.

Motorists may take these alternate routes.
From EDSA northbound:
– right to McKinley Rd. to C5 to destination
– right at Kalayaan Ave. to C5 to destination
– take Rockwell flyover, left turn to Estrella and utilize Estrella/Pantaleon Bridge which is now open to traffic
– right at J.P. Rizal to C5 to destination
– right at Pioneer St. to C5 to destination
– right at Shaw Blvd. to C5 to destination
– right at J. Vargas Ave. to C5 to destination
From EDSA southbound:
– right to Santolan, left turn to Ortigas Ave. right turn to Wilson, left at P. Guevarra and Shaw Blvd., right turn to EDSA to destination.
