Alisah Bonaobra Enters The Voice PH Finale Defeating Daryl Ong in the Semis (Video)

Alisah Bonaobra will represent Team Apl.de.Ap in the finals of the country’s most popular singing competition on national TV, The Voice of the Philippines after she got majority of the combined public votes and the judge vote during the semi-finals as announced on Sunday, February 22, 2014.

The internet sensation Alisah Bonaobra was chosen by Coach Apl.de.Ap as the better performer during the two-day semi-finals performance against Daryl Ong. Coach Apl.de.Ap gave Alisah Bonaobra a score of 55% while Daryl Ong got 45%, while in terms of the public votes, Daryl Ong got 54.87% while Bonaobra got 45.13% text votes.

In the end, Alisah Bonaobra routed Daryl Ong in the combined points with the internet sensation had the best overall score of 50.07%,just almost half a point from Daryl Ong’s 49.94%.

Alisah Bonaobra first shot to fame with her viral cover of the hit song “Let It Go” from the blockbuster Disney movie “Frozen.” She is now one step away from winning the country’s most popular singing competition.

Before the duet of Alisah Bonaobra and Daryl Ong, both artist performed their solo performances on Saturday. Alisah Bonaobra sang a heartfelt rendition of “Lipad ng Pangarap,” while Daryl Ong sang “Take Me Out of the Dark.”

During the Sunday’s episode of The Voice PH Semis, Alisah Bonaobra and Daryl Ong performed the song “One Sweet Day” live at the Resorts World Manila as part of the semi-finals of the country’s top-trending talent contest.
