Academy Awards (Oscars) 2015 Official List of Winners Released

The Academy Awards or more popularly known as the Oscars Awards celebrated the 87th edition of the world’s most popular award-giving bodies of the movie industry. The Oscars Awards is presented by the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences (AMPAS) in the United States to honor the best films of 2015.

The awarding ceremony of the Oscars took place place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, as the Academy Awards presented and given to a total of 24 categories in the movie industry.

Actor Neil Patrick Harris hosted the ceremonies for the very first time and was televised in the United States by ABC under the production of Neil Meron and Craig Zadan and direction of Hamish Hamilton.

Supporting actor: J.K. Simmons, “Whiplash.”

Supporting actress: Patricia Arquette, “Boyhood.”

Foreign language film: “Ida.”

Animated feature film: “Big Hero 6.”

Sound mixing: “Whiplash.”

Sound editing: “American Sniper.”

Costume design: “The Grand Budapest Hotel.”

Documentary (short subject): “Crisis Hotline: Veterans Press 1.”

Makeup and hairstyling: “The Grand Budapest Hotel.”

Animated short film: “Feast.”

Live action short film: “The Phone Call.”

Visual effects: “Interstellar.”
