June Mar Fajardo & Greg Slaughter Topped the 2015 PBA All-Star Fan Voting

Reigning PBA MVP June Mar Fajardo and the reigning Rookie of the Year Greg Slaughter topped the results of the 2015 PBA All-Star Balloting getting the most number of votes given by the fans and followers of Asia’s first professional basketball league, the PBA. The Cebuano rivals met once again after their duel during their early days in Cebu.

June Mar Fajardo and Greg Slaughter ended up No. 1 and No. 2 in the All-Star balloting with Fajardo garnering a total of 38,107 votes while the Ginebra big man Slaughter garnered a total of 31,310 votes.

With the ranking announced by the PBA, means that the two big man will play as starters for the South All-Stars in the 2015 PBA All-Star Game which will be held this coming March 8, 2015 at the Puerto Princesa Coliseum in Palawan.

Joining the two big man is the veteran Asi Taulava who garnered 24,062 votes and will be playing his record-breaking 13th PBA All-Star Game appearance aside from being considered as one of the oldest basketball star in the PBA.

The South All-Star will be completed by Purefoods Star’s James Yap who received 22,937 votes and Mark Barroca who got 15,197 votes. The South All-Star will be coach by Alaska’s tactician Alex Compton.

In the North All-Star, Purefoods’ Marc Pingris led the players from Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon as he emerged as the top vote-getter for the North with 23,947 votes.

The “Pinoy Sakuragi” will be joined by former Rookie of the Year Calvin Abueva who got 22,670 votes while the other players from the North includes Ginebra’s Japeth Aguilar who got 18,334 votes, Mark Caguioa (15,076 votes) and Purefoods Justin Melton with 12,312 votes.

The North All-Star will be coached by the former PBA cager and current mentor of San Miguel Beer, coach Leo Austria. The North and South All Stars Teams will be supported by reserves who will be selected by the 12 PBA head coaches ahead of the PBA All-Star Weekend.
