MJ Lastimosa Shared Thoughts After Miss Universe Pageant

The Philippine representative to the recently concluded Miss Universe 2014 beauty pageant, Miss Mary Jean (MJ) Lastimosa shared her thoughts after the world’s most prestigious beauty contest as she posted her message to her official social media account. MJ Lastimosa managed to reach the elite Top 10 Miss Universe finalists during the 63rd edition of the event.

MJ Lastimosa Statement

Miss Colombia’s Paulina Vega was crowned as the Miss Universe winner as she was crowned by the former Miss Universe titlist Gabriela Isler of Venezuela during the coronation night of the highly anticipated Miss Universe beauty pageant.

The 63rd Miss Universe Top Five contestants came from Colombia, the winner, followed by the United States, Ukrained, Netherlands and crowd favorite and of the Filipinos bet, Miss Jamaica.

The 27-year-old MJ lastimosa post shortly after the pageant the following message in which she stated that she feels “proud” to represent the Philippines, and added further that she is grateful for everyone’s support. She also stated that she is “filled with love right now.” she posted.

The Mindanao-native beauty queen, failed to continue the dominance of the Philippines in the Top 5 of the Miss Universe, her predecessors, Ariella Arida, Janine Tugonon, Shamcey Supsup and Venus Raj all made it to the Top 5 of the Miss Universe.

The Philippines already produced a total of two Miss Universe titlist during the past few decades namely Margie Moran in 1973 and the first Filipina Miss Universe, Miss Gloria Diaz who won the title during the year 1969.
