Veteran Kapamilya actress Angelica Panganiban admitted during an interview with the media, that she found it “weird” when he was asked to portray the role of Daniel Padilla’s mom in the highly anticipated TV series Pangako Sa ‘Yo which will feature the country’s teen king and queen, Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo.
The 28-year-old actress Angelica Panganiban told the reporters that when she was asked by the management to portray the role as mother of Daniel Padilla in Pangako Sa ‘Yo, she felt reluctant. She even recalled that she laughed when she first heard talks of being tapped to portray the character.
According to Angelica Panganiban, when the management called her for a meeting with the project she had to ask if executives were being serious with the offer. Daniel Padilla is just nine years junior to Angelica Panganiban and portraying as Daniel’s mother is just awkward but in the end she agreed with role.
Angelica Panganiban will play the role of Claudia in the first and only TV series from the Philippines that was shown in various TV networks across Asia and even to Africa.
The actress is also busy right now promoting her movie “That Thing Called Tadhana,” for which she won Best Actress in the 2014 Cinema One Originals. Angelica Panganiban will portray the role first acted by veteran star Jean Garcia, the original Claudia in Pangako Sa ‘Yo featuring Kristine Hermosa and Jericho Rosales.
