Erik Santos Noted that the Papal Mass Was His Career Highlight

Erik Santos, one of the few Kapamilya singers who performed during the 5-day visit of Pope Francis to the country considered his part in the Papal mass held at the Luneta Park attended by more than 6-7 million Roman Catholics, as his career highlight of his decade-long musical career.

The 31-year-old Erik Santos was accompanied by 1,000 choir members from various dioceses and a 200-member orchestra as he sang Psalm 97 or the responsorial psalm in the concluding mass of Pope Francis in the Philippines.

According to Erik Santos, who rose to fame after winning the singing competition conducted by ABS-CBN in 2003, was so emotional right after his performance in the gathering now considered as the world’s largest Papal mass, since the day Pope Francis was declared as the new head of the Roman Catholic Church.

During Erik Santos performance on It’s Showtime, he revealed that singing during the Luneta mass was the highlights of his musical career and he was so overwhelmed and blessed while attending the Papal Mass in Luneta.

Aside from Santos, Kapamilya talents who performed at papal events include Jamie Rivera, Darren Espanto, Lyca Gairanod, Jed Madela and Angeline Quinto.
