One of the country’s leading mall operators SM Prime Holdings, released their official schedules for the 2014 Christmas Holidays and New Year 2015. SM Malls are considered as the largest in the Philippines with various branches sprawling from major cities in the country, particularly in the capital of the country, the NCR.

The Philippine national government also declared regular and special non-working holidays during the 2014 Christmas Season by virtue of Proclamation No. 655 series of 2013. According to the national government, there are two Regular Holiday for the Christmas season, the December 25, Christmas Day, and the December 30, Rizal Day celebration.
Aside from the two Regular Holidays, the national government also added three special non-working holidays in December 24, 26 and 31, 2014.
Meanwhile, according to the latest report of the SM Prime, there are 50 SM Malls owned and operated by the Sy Families, including its international branches located in China.
