Jane Fonda Recalled Historic Visits to the Philippines Years Ago (Video)

One of the most prominent Hollywood star, Jane Fonda recalled her historic visits to the Philippines during the past years at the height of her anti-war political activism. The international showbiz royalty, writer, fitness expert and activist will turn 77 years old this coming December 21 and continues to be active in the entertainment industry.

The 2014 American Film Institute Life Achievement awardee, Jane Fonda is part of the cast in the highly anticipated movie “This Is Where I Leave You,” during the an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN’s “Balitang Amerika.”

During the interview, Jane Fonda recalled that during the time of her visit to the country, the country was in turmoil but its a very beautiful country according to her. She was quoted as saying “It was during the Marcos regime. There was a lot of turmoil going on. It’s a very beautiful country,” Fonda said.

The two-time Academy Award winner Jane Fonda, is very humble despite her achievement and prominent status as a Hollywood actress, she doesn’t wait for good roles to come to her, instead she goes after them with passion like her unconventional character on her latest movie.

According to Jane Fonda, at the age of 76, it is very unusual to get a character, a role that is so well written with an older woman who still energetic, sexy, fun and surprising, she noted.

The Hollywood star is also known worldwide because of her workout videos, it was thirty years after releasing her first video, she has sold more than 17 million copies. The actress noted that the huge sales of her projects helps fund her humanitarian causes.

The movie “This Is Where I Leave You,” will open in various theaters in the Philippines this coming December 17, 2014.
